b) Analysing, Designing and Writing Quality Assessments
Auckland – 12^th April 2012 (Thurs) 9-30am to 3-30pm  Cost: $300 Inc. GST
This course examines the four major assessment types, quality assessment writing, core assessment
elements and requirements.  Guidelines for the design of quality unit standard or provider developed
assessments are examined.  This is a ‘must attend’ workshop for educators seeking advanced assessment
knowledge in order to improve student teaching and learning outcomes.

f) Leading Effective Meetings
Hamilton – 3rd August 2012 (Fri)   Time: 9-30am to 3-30pm Cost: $250 Inc GST  
Meetings can be the bane of an academic leader, manager or educator's life.  This workshop will equip
participants in chairing, recording and activating meeting outcomes and to do so in a more professional,
productive and enjoyable manner.  Meeting Chairs will be given invaluable strategies to ensure they create
environments that achieve tangible outcomes in a time efficient manner.

g) Effective and Enjoyable Moderation Meetings and Processes
Auckland – 22nd August 2012 (Wed)  Time: 9-30am to 3-30pm     Cost: $300 Inc. GST
In this short practical course Assessment principles and the evaluation of assessments are discussed alongside an in-depth examination of current evaluative assessment and moderation terminology and processes. The process of leading and participating effectively in moderation meetings are reviewed along with practical ideas about how to enhance assessment and student learning outcomes.

2 day workshop and support to gain Unit Standard

4. Unit Standards 11551 and 11552      $640 plus GST per person
Eight staff are required to attract the above prices. These workshops are usually held at your organisation (and with your catering arrangements) or House of Montrose Education Consultants can organise a venue and cost effective catering for you.  House of Montrose Education Consultants can also at times arrange for your staff to undertake these workshops with other organisations if you do not have the 8 staff needed to undertake these unit standards and associated material. Course dates of sessions will be negotiated with you by Telephone or Email and support is provided after workshops for up to 3 months, to support your staff to achieve success in the associated Unit Standard assessments. Staff accomplishing the unit standards will have their achievement reported to and recorded by NZQA.
