Qualifications
These are 'Extra for Experts' Qualifications for educators who want to be master teachers
Would you like to move into the higher education/tertiary sector?
Have you been teaching for several years in a higher education or tertiary setting?
Would you like to become a 'Master' teacher, someone who can reach
all students?
Did you study a Diploma in Adult Teaching at Level 5 but are now teaching on a level 7 or degree qualification?
Are you now in a Tutor, Lecturer or Train the Trainer role?
Or did you move to New Zealand and are keen to learn more about 'western' teaching approaches?
If you answered 'yes' to any or all of the above questions the following qualifications are for you.
Study the only higher education education facilitation qualifications that will develop your capacity to:
facilitate development of higher and associative thinking, and critical and evaluative thinking.
Certificate in Educational Facilitation (Level 7) (45 Credits)
Certificate in Educational Facilitation ( Advanced) (Level 7) (75 Credits)
Diploma in Educational Facilitation (Advanced) (Level 7) (120 Credits)
Educational Facilitation Course Entry Criteria
Applicants must hold a formal level 5 Diploma qualification at least, or an equivalent, and have at
least 2 years teaching/assessment experience in an education setting. Applicants for whom English is not
their first language will also be required to have achieved Academic IELTS 6.5 level (or equivalent).
As part of the selection process all applicants will be required to submit an application form, curriculum
vitae, and statement about their career goals. Applicants may also be interviewed to evaluate their
suitability for the course.
Note: Applicants who do not have a formal teaching qualification may be accepted into these courses after the successful study of one additional paper.
