It you are an education provider in New Zealand looking for qualifications that support international students and or visitors, refugees or migrants to settle, understand, learn about New Zealand or enjoy their time in New Zealand, LOOK NO FURTHER.

The New Zealand Curriculum Design Institute offers New Zealand’s only comprehensive courses and
qualifications that focus on learning about New Zealand.  These three courses are available throughout New Zealand and are specially designed for:

·    Refugees
·    Migrants
·    International Students
·    Bridging Students to enter higher level qualifications
-    Business Migrants and
·    Gap, Working Holiday, Educational or Cultural Tourists 
           
These qualifications can progressively support your students to:

¡     Learn about New Zealand in an enjoyable way
¡     Know your rights and responsibilities while in New Zealand
¡     Travel in New Zealand
¡     Live comfortably and safely within New Zealand
¡     Work in New Zealand
¡     Do business in or with New Zealanders

They also include Special Studies papers which can be dedicated to areas of need by your students...
for example:

- focussed on developing study skills
- focussed on work-experience
- focussed on practicing and improving language skills
- preparing adissertation or PHD proposal
- studying a special sport (like Rugby), recreational pusuit (like dirt bike riding) or artistic pursuit (garden design and ecology)
 

 
Content:
Each qualification includes 5 papers and is normally 10 weeks long.  Some providers who deliver these
courses may offer them over time, at night or in shorter combinations designed to meet your needs. 

Those on Visitor Visas are welcome and able to legally study these courses.
 
There are six papers to choose from at each qualification level, they are:
History and Culture in New Zealand
Living in New Zealand
Work and Business in New Zealand
Sport and Recreation in New Zealand


and either
 
Special Studies (you may do two of these in a specialist area)
 or
English Language in New Zealand
